The group Opteven, a specialist in automotive services and a European leader in mechanical breakdown warranties, announces the acquisition of the German company Multipart, a recognized player in the German automotive warranty market. This acquisition marks a new step in Opteven’s European growth strategy, aimed at expanding its presence in Germany to include independent dealers.
Already present in Germany through its partnership with the Volkswagen Group, Opteven is now expanding its mechanical breakdown warranty services to independent dealers. This move is part of the group’s strategy to offer mechanical breakdown warranty solutions to all professionals in the used vehicle sales sector, including manufacturers, dealers, and other service operators. With the acquisition of Multipart, Opteven strengthens its position in the German market by doubling its workforce in the country.
Founded by Waldemar Dixa in 1985 and based in Ringsheim, Multipart has been a recognized player in the German warranty market for nearly 40 years, with 60,000 contracts sold annually. Operating throughout Germany and with activities in Switzerland and Austria, the company has built a solid reputation thanks to its innovative products and quality customer service.
A transition and handover period between Multipart’s founder and Opteven’s teams has already begun to ensure a smooth integration of the teams and continuity of operations.
“European expansion is essential to Opteven’s strategy. The acquisition of Multipart allows us to strengthen our presence in Germany, the largest European market for used vehicle sales, and to continue our growth by meeting all our customers’ needs. We are excited to welcome the Multipart teams,” says Jean-Matthieu Biseau, President of Opteven.
With this acquisition, Opteven further strengthens its position in the European automotive warranty market and reaffirms its commitment to offering solutions tailored to the needs of automotive professionals and drivers.
