Opteven strengthens its position as European leader in mechanical breakdown cover by acquiring 100% of Garanzia MEC S.p.A in Italy
The European leader in warranty and a major player in assistance in France, Opteven Group is taking a new step in its International development. Following the recent acquisition of Multipart Garantie AG in Germany in June 2024, the company is further strengthening its presence in Europe with the acquisition of Garanzia MEC, an Italian specialist in vehicle warranties and the refurbishment and distribution of vehicle used spare parts. This expansion illustrates Opteven’s ambition to become a key player in the ‘circular economy’ by promoting sustainable mobility.

A strategic acquisition to accelerate growth
Based in Southern Italy, Garanzia MEC offers automotive services including vehicle warranty products with the complimentary service of the reconditioning and distribution of vehicle used spare parts. The company currently employs 53 people in Ruffano, close to Lecce in the Puglia Region, with an additional 32 colleagues in their national sales team.
